Olympics week! I’m most excited to watch the athletes we worked with at the USA Gymnastics Olympic Trials a few weeks back! They were a great crew to work with. I can’t wait to see them live out their dreams!

Snow is here! I came home just now over lunch to shovel. As you can see, I haven’t done it all yet. My hip and back were talking to me so I took a break. This is where preparedness is key. I exercise and move weight, but I haven’t shoveled since last winter. Taking a 5 minute break (or two or three) is key to preventing some of these early season back pains that often present to the clinic. We need to let our bodies adapt to the new stress. You’ll get more adapted to this work the more that you do it. Listen to your body and avoid an unnecessary visit to the clinic!

First event at The World Games-Sumo! So much fun working with these athletes and my team! So cool to see how much effort goes into the dohyo (ring) setup and how many techniques are utilized. Despite the magnitude of some of these athletes, we only lost one table 😅. Our team definitely earned their late night meal yesterday. One of the athletes showed his appreciation with a cool pin and a keychain from his city.
