Thanksgiving in our addiction doesn’t feel like a holiday.
It feels like a reminder of everything we’ve broken.
We sit in rooms full of people we love, yet feel more alone than ever.
Not because they pushed us away…
but because we couldn’t stop doing the very things that kept us sick.
But sobriety changes the story.
Slowly, painfully, beautifully — we learn to feel again.
We find gratitude for the family we dragged through hell,
the ones who loved us even when we couldn’t love ourselves.
We sit at the table not as ghosts of who we were,
but as women rebuilding, healing, returning.
In recovery, we finally find a place we belong —
a place where grace sits right beside us
and hope sets the table.
