The Philadelphia Center developed in the spring of 1990 as concerned citizens responding to the HIV epidemic as it spread into the Shreveport area of Louisiana. Over the past 30 years, The Philadelphia has expanded to become the only HIV resource center in Region VII. The Philadelphia Center serves the parishes of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, DeSoto, Sabine, and Natchitoches.
