Due to the snow headed our way, we’re moving the 3rd Annual Jacob’s Lager Release Party to Sunday, February 1st so everyone can celebrate safely.

Join us on February 1st starting at 12pm for a very special evening at Vortex Brewing Company as we honor the life and legacy of Jacob Janiak with the annual release of Jacob’s Lager.🍺

Jake, the youngest son of our head brewer, Ed Janiak, was a bright light in this world a loyal friend, a compassionate soul, and an advocate for those in need. Taken from us far too soon at the age of 19, Jake’s memory lives on in the heart of everything we do here at Vortex Brewing.

Jacob’s Lager isn’t just a beer; it’s a tribute to the love, joy, and connection Jake brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. With each beer sold we donate a portion of our proceeds to support local young adults in accessing therapy and addiction prevention programs, continuing Jake’s legacy of compassion and care.

We invite you to raise a glass with us and celebrate Jake’s enduring impact by sharing your own memories and stories. 'HELL YEAH!'

We are beyond blessed to have a partnership with Vortex Brewing Co. If you don't know about Vortex, they do so much for the community through not only providing great food, drinks and entertainment, but helping the local families and businesses however they can. They are great people and would love to see you.

Dear Friends,

We wanted to follow up on something near and dear to our hearts. We are amazed and humbled by the continuous support of Jacob’s Lager. We are so thankful for the support of our community in purchasing Jacob’s Lager in pints and to-go packs. $1 from every pint purchased goes to organizations that help our youth / young adult community battle addiction and mental health issues in Jake’s honor.

Anyone who knew Jake knows what a fun loving person he was, and wanted everyone around him to have a good time. He made it a personal mission to put a smile on every face he came across. One of Jake’s favorite activities was enjoying the outdoors with his friends and family. After a day spent hunting, swimming, camping, hiking, kayaking, and especially building a bonfire – that was Jake’s favorite place to be.

We’re pleased to announce that we were able to donate $1,000 to Active Therapy Counseling!

Learn more about our intern Zach:

"I have been involved in next-generation ministry for 15 years, working with elementary to high school students. I am currently a student counselor, working on my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

I believe everyone has an amazing story waiting to be found. Even when our lives are falling apart, our stories are still being written tomorrow isn’t always dictated by today. Our stories are unique in giving us value. My desire for any person that enters into counseling is that they are able to find their story and find the hope and joy in their story. I utilize a lot of cognitive behavioral techniques as well as assisting in emotional regulation. As a Christian counselor, I am open to exploring the client’s spiritual journey in our sessions if that is the desire of the client."
