February 15 is International Childhood Cancer Day 💛

While our offices are closed today, we wanted to take a moment to recognize children and families impacted by pediatric cancer, and to stand in support of the incredible strength and resilience they show every day.

The gold ribbon represents hope, courage, and continued advocacy for childhood cancer awareness and research.

💛 From all of us at Abilities in Action, we stand with childhood cancer warriors, survivors, and their families.

Huge thank you to Louis St-Pierre from for visiting our facility and bringing the Levity Gait Trainer for our patients to trial!

Over two days, Louis worked one-on-one with several of our kids, carefully fitting each child and giving them the chance to experience partial body weight support gait training. Watching their reactions was the best part. Every child showed improvements in postural alignment and confidence with stepping, and there were lots of proud smiles along the way.

We’re so grateful for the time, expertise, and energy Louis shared with our team and families. Opportunities like this make a real difference for our patients. Thank you, Ora Medical, for helping our kids move forward… one step at a time!

Does your baby tend to look one way or keep their head tilted? It may be torticollis. 👶

Torticollis occurs when neck muscles are tight, limiting movement and affecting alignment. Physical therapy is a trusted, early-intervention approach that stretches tight muscles, builds strength, and restores balanced motion. When addressed early, success rates can reach 80 to 97%, helping prevent flat spots and developmental delays. A classic example of how proactive care drives positive outcomes.

Benefits of Physical Therapy:
✔️ Improved range of motion and flexibility
✔️ Better posture and head alignment
✔️ Reduced muscle tension and discomfort
✔️ Stronger motor skills for upcoming milestones
✔️ Greater confidence in everyday movement

Early therapy helps children maximize mobility, avoid long-term complications, and stay on a steady developmental path.

📞 If you notice any of these signs, call our office to schedule an evaluation. The team at Abilities in Action is proud to support families and deliver thoughtful, proven care so every child can move forward comfortably and confidently.
