Meet Charlene Pontoriero, FNP

Charlene joined Sidney Health Center in March 2019 and provides support coverage in the Same Day Clinic. Charlene has many years of experience working as a family nurse practitioner including working several years at Sidney Health Center before rejoining the medical staff.

We are glad to have Charlene a part of our Primary Care team! The Same Day Clinic is open 7 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday. Patients are encouraged to call 406-488-3963 during Same Day Clinic hours to schedule a time to be seen by the attending medical provider.

Meet Patti Iversen, FNP

Patti has been an invaluable member of the Sidney Health Center team for over 40 years, joining our medical staff as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2003. Her dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare has benefitted countless families in our community. Today, Patti offers support to other primary care providers and assists with Medicare wellness exams in the Primary Care Clinic.

Sidney Health Center Extended Care hosted a special Veterans Day Recognition Ceremony to honor our veteran employees and residents from both Extended Care and The Lodge. A big thank you to the VFW, Tim Tharp, Vicki Vaira, Violet Tharp, and the Sidney Central Elementary School Choir for their wonderful presentations and music that made the day extra special. Of course, no celebration is complete without pie!🥧❤️

Meet Jacquelyn Free, FNP

Jacquelyn joined Sidney Health Center in November 2009 and sees patients at MonDak Family Clinic in Fairview. Jacq provides care for the whole family including wellness checkups, physicals, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries, the monitoring and treatment of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma, as well as aesthetics.

Jacq has an extensive background in nursing practice, including her time as a charge and flight nurse at Trinity Medical Center and a Master’s degree in nursing. The proudest moment fof her career was becoming a certified Diabetic Educator (specializing in pumps and CGMs).

In her spare time, Free enjoys all things sports. She has coached girls’ basketball in Fairview since 2012. She is close to her husband, Chris, and their two children, Bridger and Gracelynn. Free also sings for her local church and is the concussion liaison for four schools in the Fairview area. In addition, Free loves movies and is an expert in movie line trivia.

Meet Sarah Farrow, AGNP

Sarah started as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) in February 2022 but has been with Sidney Health Center for more than 20 years. As an AGNP, Sarah cares and treats older adults with a well-rounded approach. Her practice includes wellness checkups, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries as well as monitoring and treatment of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma.

Sarah grew up in Fairview, Montana, as the seventh out of eight children. She earned her certification as a nursing assistant at age 16, and later spent two weeks in Brazil providing free care to small communities along the Amazon Rainforest.

Her hobbies include camping, boating, playing pinochle, and watching movies with her friends and family. She has a teenage son and daughter with her husband Bill, and as a result is active with the Cutting Edge Dance Studio and the Richland Rangers Hockey Association in Sidney. When she isn’t running her kids from one activity to another, she spends her time caring for the animals on her family farm.

Over the next couple of days, we’ll be introducing you to our wonderful Nurse Practitioners!

Meet Kaci Dean, FNP

Kaci recently started as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic, but has been with Sidney Health Center for 18 years. As a FNP in the ENT Clinic, Kaci evaluates and treats ear, nose, and throat conditions for patients of all ages while providing pre- and post-operative care.

A native of Savage, Montana, Kaci is deeply rooted in the community. She has two sons and a granddaughter and enjoys photography—particularly sports photography—and often captures local high school events as a freelance photographer for a local newspaper. Kaci has also been active in her church as a Sunday school teacher, confirmation guide, and council member, as well as a supporter of the Sidney Wrestling Club and Sidney Eagle Booster Club.
