Things are tough right now, and I get it. ❤️
I sat in on a meeting yesterday and gathered a list of organizations offering help during the Christmas season and beyond. This is just what I know of so far, but I wanted to share in case it helps even one person.
These activities and events are run by volunteers and fueled by donations from people who truly want to help others. Be kind, be patient, and thank them along the way. It means more than you know.
I’m also going to work harder in 2026 to share community resources throughout the year on the Compassionate Cares page. (And you may have to nudge me when I get busy! 😅)
Community Events & Resources

✨ A Cozy Compassionate Care Project
At Compassionate Care, we’re working on a simple, warm project:
Comfort Packs for people who are in need, tied to the railing out front.
These include:
• Soft, cozy socks
• Hats
• Gloves
• Scarfs
Just a tiny reminder that someone sees them and cares.
It’s our way of adding a little warmth to someone’s winter. We are in need of gloves if anyone has any to donate.
This is what I have gathered so far. If anyone knows of more community events or resources, please feel free to add them in the comments. We need all the help we can get, and sharing information matters.
Please remember:
I’m simply relaying information to be helpful.
So kindly do not say, “Traci said I could…” - I didn’t 😉
At Compassionate Care of Shelby County, we provide free medical, dental, and mental health therapy. But if you need something outside of what we offer, please call us. We have an extensive resource list and will try our best to connect you where you need to go.
Our community is full of kind, generous people who truly care about their neighbors. 🤍
Let’s keep showing up for each other.linf ont
