Recent health and safety precautions have helped tremendously in minimizing the spread of COVID-19, but we aren't out of the woods yet. Trinity cares about our patients, staff, and community. We strive to provide you with reliable information, including what you can do to stay safe and feel better about your health during the ever-changing circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic.

As we have now entered cold and flu season and coronavirus cases are rising in our county, we would like to take this time to remind you to remain vigilant and continue to take measures to protect yourself and others.

It is still of utmost importance that we continue to follow the CDC's recommendations regarding prevention of the spread of COVID-19. The precautions we recommend you follow include:

-Proper handwashing techniques and the use of hand sanitizer
-Sanitizing your surroundings as often as possible
-Masking up when entering stores, schools, or other crowded places and events
-Receiving your initial COVID-19 vaccination(s) and boosters

Who is considered "high risk?"
-Those who are older adults
-Those with compromised immune systems or underlying health conditions
-Those who are pregnant

What are the common symptoms of COVID-19?
-Fever
-Cough
-Chills
-Shortness of breath
-Sore throat
-Runny nose
-Vomiting/diarrhea
-Fatigue
-Headache, or body aches
-A loss of taste or smell

What should you do if you test positive for COVID-19?
-Stay home, except to receive medical care. Always contact your provider's office prior to your visit
-Separate yourself from other people and inform those who have recently been in contact with you about your diagnosis
-Monitor your symptoms. If you experience trouble breathing, a persistent pain or pressure in your chest, sudden confusion, the inability to stay awake, or pale/gray/bluish colored skin, lips, or nail beds (cyanosis), call 911 or visit the emergency department for immediate medical attention.

Vaccines are now available to everybody over the age of 5. Boosters are also available. Only adults (18 years and up) are currently eligible to receive a booster shot. Boosters for both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are available six months after your second dose. Johnson & Johnson offers a booster just two months after receiving the initial dose of the vaccine.

For more information on where to receive your COVID-19 vaccination(s) or booster shot, or for information about what you can do to prevent the spread of coronavirus, visit the CDC's website, or follow the link below for access to our COVID-19 Information Center.

Stay safe, and keep on masking. ๐Ÿ’

December 1st through December 6th is National Handwashing Awareness Week. Using proper handwashing technique helps to decrease the spread of common flu season illnesses, such as influenza and coronavirus. When washing your hands, be sure to clean between your fingers and under your fingernails. After washing for 20 seconds or more, dry your hands thoroughly. Whenever appropriate or necessary, use hand sanitizer to stop germs in their tracks. Allow adequate time for the sanitizer to dry and kill the optimum amount of germs. Our staff is always ready to provide you with more information about ways to keep you and your family safe from illness this holiday season. With Trinity, you're in clean hands. ๐Ÿงผ
