This journey started Christmas 2o17 when I bought a gift certificate for goat yoga and heard about all the joy these adorable animals can bring. I began researching goats including caring for them, interacting with them and involving them in yoga. August 2018 is when I found my first goat, a Nigerian Dwarf goat. Before I could pick this guy up my husband, concerned one goat would be lonely, found our second one. We became the proud owners of 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats just before labor day 2018.
“What is a Nigerian dwarf goat?”, is a question I often hear. Well, it is a goat that is about 15-18 lbs and about 15 inches tall. They are cuddly, playful and very cute! They are herding animals which means they do not like to be alone. Our two goats even though they are from different herds bonded within days of meeting each other. Now they can be found cuddled together keeping warm when needed or just for a snuggle.
These two enjoy human snuggles as well. If you need a pick me up or just want to giggle I highly recommend a goat intervention.
