The theme selected by the American Society for Clinical Pathology this year was “Lab Story: To Infinity and Beyond for Our Patients”. Our lab team works around the clock to ensure our providers have the information they need to diagnose and treat our patients. With laboratory test results informing 70% of medical decisions, the lab takes great pride in the role we play in our patient’s lives and healthcare journeys. In 2025 our lab processed over half a million specimens which amounts to over two million lab results. Our blood bank ensured the 737 units of blood transfused were safe for our most critical patients. MDMC’s educated laboratory professionals know that behind every tube, swab, and specimen cup is a patient relying on us to provide their doctor with the information they need to deliver quality healthcare.
