Congratulations Dr Benjamin. Very well deserved!
We are proud to announce Dr. George Benjamin as our second Pioneer Citizen of 2026, recognizing a lifetime devoted to healing, service, and community leadership that has left a lasting mark on Siloam Springs.
Dr. Benjamin’s journey in medicine reflects both excellence and compassion. After earning his undergraduate degree from Guilford College, he served in the United States Peace Corps. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, followed by advanced training in Family Practice, eventually becoming Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians, with an additional certification in geriatrics and recognition as an AAFP Fellow.
Siloam Springs has been blessed by Dr. Benjamin’s dedication for decades. He began practicing at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital (now Siloam Springs Regional Hospital) in 1976. His leadership includes long-standing service at Community Physicians Group (Now Community Clinic), Medical Director for St. Francis Clinic, and on the Board of Directors for Bridges to Wellness. Beyond medicine, Dr. Benjamin faithfully served Grace Episcopal Church.
Dr. George Benjamin’s legacy is one of steady leadership, compassion, and lifelong service. We are honored to recognize him as a Pioneer Citizen and grateful for the profound impact he has made on our community.
