We have the best volunteers at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. Thank you to all the many wonderful individuals, Churches, schools and organizations that brought so much holiday cheer. Whether it was a Christmas card, gifts, snacks, singing, Spiritual inspiration or donation your kindness was truly heartfelt and appreciated. The holidays can be challenging at times but your unwavering dedication means so much to us. Also, thank you to our family members who brought goodies for our staff. With each gesture know that it didn't go unnoticed.

Last week we had the honor and privilege of recognizing our Veteran's in our facility...all 21 of them! Each year we correlate with the American Legion Post 72 and VFW Post 1514 to organize our program and pay tribute to our heroes. These men and women give selflessly and devote their time to helping us. They provide certificates and memorabilia to our Veteran's as well. Our deep appreciation to each of our Veterans for safeguarding our many freedoms that we continue to enjoy today. It's because of your commitment that these privileges are given. Also, thank you to Ms.Pam at Precious Memories Florist for donating our beautiful patriotic arrangement for our refreshment table and to Shandee Marie Billings with Patched up Princess for doing our Veterans hats.

We had a fa-BOO-lous time on Halloween. There were 28 pumpkin entries. A lot of hard work went into decorating them. Congratulations to all the winners and a special thanks to our wonderful judges Amy from Silsbee Chamber & Daryin from The Silsbee Bee. Friday morning staff members decorated tables, dressed in costumes and served food/drinks related to Fall to the residents. Everyone did such a great job! Friday afternoon residents anxiously awaited the arrival of the trick or treaters. With bags in hand they made their way to receive bags of goodies. The costumes were incredible and the atmosphere was too. Lots of fun and memories!

Our residents did a fabulous job of painting their individual pumpkins. Thank you to the sweet ladies from The Lively Oak Pumpkin Patch and their little helpers. Everyone had a great time.
