This is a great thing happening in our community! We don't get this opportunity here often enough.

If you hike with your dog or live in a rattlesnake area, giving your dog avoidance training will help him avoid a trip to the vet and lots of pain and suffering.

February is National Pet Dental Health Month! And if you don't think your pet's dental health is that important, consider these facts:

According to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), 80% of dogs and 70% of cats will develop some form of oral disease by the age of three. Not addressing your pet's dental health could lead to more severe secondary diseases like heart or kidney disease.By not brushing your pet's teeth, formations of bacteria, food particles, and saliva combine and collect between the gums and teeth, which progresses into tartar buildup. Over time this can develop into periodontal disease, which erodes at the gums and can result in bad breath, bleeding gums, and pain.

Brush your pet's teeth regularly.

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recommends that you brush your pet's teeth daily. But in most cases, this is not always feasible, especially if your pet will not cooperate. However, it's not a reason to disregard the brushing process altogether.

*We carry Oravet to help you between brushing, dental procedures, or just because it's difficult for you to brush your furbabies teeth. Call us for more information on this awesome product.

Dental health is an important part of a pet's overall health. A pet's teeth and gums should be checked at least once a year by a veterinarian.

We've added CBD to our arsenal of pet care products.
We are carrying liquid drops and grain-free CBD infused dog treats.

Add far as benefits your pet can receive from CBD supplementation here is a quote from Dr. Jerry Klein, American Kennel Club, Chief Veterinary Officer, "While there is no definitive scientific data on using CBD to treat dogs, there's anecdotal evidence from dog owners suggesting it can treat pain, especially neuropathic pain, as well as helping to control seizures. CBD is also used because of its anti-inflammatory properties, cardiac benefits, anti-nausea effects, appetite stimulation, anti-anxiety impact, and for possible anti- cancer benefits, although there is no conclusive data on this use."

Dr. Brown can help you decide if CBD is a good option to help your furry companion.

Annual exams on our furry friends are important for detection of health issues in the early stages so that monitoring of these issues can be instituted for better quality of life.
Mausi and Bayley are in great health!
