A new year is a GREAT time to start practicing a better way to talk to ourselves. Words are important and that is especially true for our self-talk. When we start noticing how we speak to ourselves, we might be surprised how negative we are. Would you say that same thing to your friend, your child, loved one? Probably not. So, why can we be so harsh with ourselves? Here are a few suggestions to replace those unkind words when you catch yourself. What are some of your suggestions? We'd love to hear from you!

If we ask ourselves a new question for the new year, what comes to mind? How do you want to feel this year? How do you want your life to feel? Peaceful? Whole? Clear?
The Recovery Management Center offers the idea to practice trusting yourself, not rushing yourself. Make decisions from your truth, not survival mode. And if this sounds really unfamiliar, that's OK. Practice with small moments. Here's to slowly, intentionally creating a year that feels good! Happy New Year! 💙💚💛💚💙
