We live in the Past, Present, and Future all at once!
How mystik?! ✨

Yes, family, I’ve been gone from social media since January. I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes. But as the Powaz would have it, I returned today to send a very special message to a birthworker elder via IG who I met 11 years ago in St. Croix, as I caught a glimpse of my (our) future earlier today.

I ran into my last doula mommy and baby, yesterday, at a festival. That was actually my first time I’ve crossed paths with a family out and about in the community. What a JOY?! 💚 Looking forward to a lifetime of these experiences.

Saturday also began Black Maternal Health Week. I attended an event by Babies Born Healthy, “Rooted in Justice and Joy.” Now more than ever, it is so important to find and center joy in as many experiences possible. I personally have been prioritizing joy over the past few month, as I realized I was happy, but not joyful. There’s a difference. Prioritize joy for your own emotional and mental well-being. Simultaneously, you are able to share that joy with others.
If interested in learning more about BMHW events, try a quick Google search, as you can find different events happening throughout the city or online. 🤰🏾 And if you know a pregnant mommy, share the events with her, as there are events that often have many resources, including diapers, strollers, cribs, mental health providers, etc.

The past 3 days have been nothing short of purposeful, guided, and insightful.
Answering the calling. Forward ever!
Forever grateful,
