🩵 What is the connection between the lymphatic system and fat metabolism?
1️⃣ Fat transport:When we eat fat, it is broken down in the small intestine, forms so-called chylomicrons and is transported via the lymphatic system to the blood - where it is either used as energy or stored.
2️⃣ Lymphoedema & fat: Lymphoedema occurs when lymphatic tissue accumulates, for example in the legs. Long-term accumulation can lead to fat deposits (lipedema), which are difficult to reduce with classic weight loss.
3️⃣ Fat and lymphatic flow: Excess fat, especially in the abdominal and leg area, can strain the lymphatic channels and block lymphatic flow - exacerbating edema.
4️⃣ Cleansing function of the lymph: The lymphatic system helps the body to transport waste products away - including from fat cells. If the lymph is not working properly, residues remain in the body and can promote weight gain.
5️⃣ Immune system & fat: The lymphatic system is central to our immune system. Being overweight affects both lymphatic flow and immune balance - so healthy lymphatic flow is essential for the whole body.
✨ In short: A healthy lymphatic system supports fat metabolism, immune function and weight management!

🍭 What is diabetes - and how is it related to weight? There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2.
🔹 Type 1 diabetes:Occurs when the pancreas produces no or almost no insulin.
🔹 Type 2 diabetes:The pancreas produces insulin, but the cells do not respond properly to it - this is called insulin resistance. Sugar remains in the blood and can cause the following damage:❤️ Heart attack🧠 Stroke👁 Blindness🦵 Amputations🩺 Kidney failure
📊 Weight & diabetes:- Obesity (BMI > 30) increases the risk of type 2 diabetes by 85%.- In the US, over 34 million people live with type 2 diabetes - and 88 million with prediabetes.
⚖️ Why is weight loss so important?Excess fat - especially abdominal fat - is one of the main causes of type 2 diabetes.
Even a weight loss of 5-10% of body weight can:✅ Significantly improve blood glucose levels✅ Reduce the need for medication✅ In some cases even reverse diabetes
However, we also know: weight loss is not easy. That's why long-term, sustainable solutions are needed.

Diabetes is a chronic disease that impairs the body's ability to regulate blood glucose levels - a crucial source of energy for our cells.
In type 1 diabetes, the body produces too little insulin 🔹 In type 2 diabetes, however, insulin is produced but the body cannot use it properly.
When blood sugar remains too high for a long time, it can lead to serious complications:❤️ Cardiovascular disease🩺 Kidney damage🧠 Nerve damage👁 Vision loss
🌍 With millions of people affected worldwide, diabetes is one of the biggest public health challenges.

🩸 Too much glucose in the blood can lead to diabetes - especially due to insulin resistance.🔍 What is insulin resistance? It occurs when the cells in the muscles, fat tissue and liver no longer respond properly to insulin. As a result, blood glucose levels rise.📌 Factors that can contribute to insulin resistance:- High blood pressure- Elevated blood lipids- Impaired glucose tolerance- Pregnancy- Genetic predisposition- Increased age- Exercise adherence- Overweight/obesity👉 Understanding these factors is crucial to preventing diabetes and controlling it better. resistance sugar

What is lymphatic obstruction? Health risksLymphatic obstruction is a common health problem that can lead to the accumulation of toxins in the body and trigger a number of negative effects. One of the main consequences is the accumulation of body fat and fluid retention. When lymphatic flow is obstructed, toxins are not effectively eliminated from the tissues, affecting cell function, slowing down metabolism and increasing the risk of weight gain and edema.
