In my 30+ years of practice one of the most common questions I get asked from our patients is do you work on children?? Absolutely! As the old saying goes “As the twig is bent, so grows the tree” is spot on when it comes to child development. Not only their personalities and behaviors, but more importantly their physical health. We find many of our adult patients who are dealing with chronic musculoskeletal conditions are a result of a childhood injury or poor posture. Children sustain injuries all the time whether in sports or just playing which can have a profound impact on their health as they age. Case in point, we had the pleasure of treating Jaxsyn, a 13-year-old karate student who sustained a kick to the throat which resulted in a concussion, headaches and neck pain. We treated him on Monday and the next day his mother called and said Jaxsyn was feeling 100% better and couldn’t wait till his next visit! If you have any questions or concerns regarding your children’s health, do not hesitate to call.
