On the onset of Covid-19, a number of states have waived behavioral health practitioners license to practice Telehealth across state borders temporarily in state and national emergencies.. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and am licensed for Telehealth and office-based services within the state of South Carolina.  Just recently I received some good news

1. That I am green lighted to do testing via Telehealth
2. and that the extension of the waiver, for behavioral health practitioners to practice Telehealth across state borders, has been extended to the end of the year!

A pre-surgical psychological evaluation may be a requirement of both one’s surgeon and one’s insurance company.  The evaluation is designed to assess one’s emotional, mental, and physical preparedness for a life-changing surgery. 
The evaluation’s goal is to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.  The evaluation helps to identify potential post-surgical complications and potential interpersonal and emotional challenges that may arise.  The report will make any necessary recommendations for support that may be helpful after surgery.

I am classically trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy.

I provide a combination of individual therapy, family therapy, and parent support services for each client being provided therapy services.

I am also trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Theraplay which is used in an adjusted format for certain client populations.
