Today, we’re asking you to congratulate our Clinical Program Manager, Chip, for celebrating his 19 year sober anniversary this past Sunday!!! 1️⃣9️⃣

Our staff is consistently highlighted as warm, compassionate, and deeply understanding of our clients — a large part of that is because of the direct lived experience of being in recovery or having loved ones in recovery. We understand exactly where our community of clients are at when they come in to South Carolina Addiction Treatment.

Chip is a testimony that recovery is possible and achievable. Each day that he shows up and connects with our clients, he is modeling what it is like to have a future that is full of light and tons of opportunities for healing and growth along the way. 🌟🌱

We had an INCREDIBLE return back to our SOAR Upstate Recovery Meetups to kick off 2026!!! 💜🪽

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up last night to build community, celebrate each other's personal achievements, and take some time to connect and have some fun together. We had a wonderful turnout after we took a hiatus for the last couple of months -- THANK you for showing up!!!

We couldn't have done it without our event organizers, Amanda, Ryan, Will, and David, who each played a key role in helping SOAR come together this month!!! 🎉

TODAY'S THE DAY!!! Our SOAR Upstate Recovery Meetup is back in action and meeting together again this evening -- ALL are welcome to join us!! See the event info below!

SOAR is a free sober meetup for folks in recovery. 💜🪽 Note that you, yourself, don't have to be in recovery -- you're welcome to come support someone you love in recovery, too! SOAR is a place to connect, build your sober community, and celebrate your personal milestones with a supportive group of people who get it.

Bring a friend or come on your own and make some new friends -- totally up to you!

Check out our most recent Dogs of S**T visitors to South Carolina Addiction Treatment in the past few weeks!! 💜🤩

First, meet Willow, who is fast becoming a favorite regular visitor at S**T -- she can sometimes be seen following Amanda around the facility and sneaking out of Office 116 to see what everyone is up to (especially when a snack is involved...).

And second, meet Ebby, newly adopted puppy, causing a bit of a ruckus at S**T on the weekend!

For folks who come to treatment and are missing their pets, having dog therapy and the occasional furry visitor can bring a smile to many of our clients' faces!! We love our dog days at S**T!!! 🐾🐕

Mardi Gras was cause for celebration here at South Carolina Addiction Treatment this week…and we celebrated one of the best ways we know how, which is with a S**T Kitchen Challenge!!! 💜💛💚

This challenge's menu focused on Carnival with a special Mardi Gras New Orleans-themed menu for our festivities. 🦞🍽️ Our menu included crawfish étouffée, gumbo & jambalaya, okra & tomatoes, and some classic King cake (and don't forget the baby 👶)!

See Antonio teaching Shayla how to eat a crawfish, Will struggling to eat food with a face, the S**T Kitchen Team nearly busting a gut (and NOT from the food!), and even Sam getting squirted on by a crawfish (💦)!!!

For those of you who have been following us for a while, then you may know that February marks our 1 year anniversary of our S**T Kitchen Challenges!! 🎂

What started as an idea to find a way to further highlight our already very popular kitchen, we wanted to push the boundaries to see how our team would step up to the plate to face fun culinary challenges...and they have knocked it out of the park every single time!!! These challenge days also serve as a way to show excitement and passion around food and nutrition so our clients can also see that joy can be found in many different areas of their newfound lives in recovery!

HUGE thanks to the S**T Kitchen Team (David, Jamar, and Antonio) and to Lisa for making this S**T Kitchen Challenge happen!! 🎊 Happy (belated) Mardi Gras!! 💜💛💚
