At SkinGlow MD, we’re proud sponsors of the Go Red for Women® initiative through the American Heart Association. Women’s heart health isn’t just a professional passion for Dr. Jung—it’s deeply personal. ♥️

In 2019, Dr. Jung’s mom (pictured above) had subtle but concerning EKG changes. Her only symptoms? Mild shortness of breath walking uphill and a bit of exercise intolerance. At her doctor’s urging, she underwent a cardiac catheterization—and a significant blockage was discovered and treated with a cardiac stent. That procedure saved her from a heart attack.

Despite exercising 3x a week, following a vegetarian lifestyle, and taking cholesterol medication, genetics still played a role. ❤️
