My name is Joanne DiRusso. I am a Licensed Massage therapist, and Certified Personal Trainer. I am an avid mountain biker, amateur all mountain skier, love anything with wheels, fitness enthusiast, outdoor enthusiast, and life enthusiast. I am a mother to a 19 year old firefighter, favorite woman to my favorite man ❤️, we have 3 cats, 1 dog, and live in Granby, Connecticut.

I entered the field of massage therapy in 2008 when I discovered the profound effects manual therapy had on pain and movement. I passed my personal trainer exam in 2012, to what I thought would complete my practice. Little did I know, my practice is ever evolving … that’s my story in a nutshell.

From working with in a practitioner office, massage therapy office, chiropractic office, and out of a physical therapy clinic for a dozen years … to being in rehab multiple times for my own minor sports injuries, and in 2024 rehabbed nearly full circle from 2 major sports injuries… I have what I believe to be, a deep understanding to the real life effects of pain, dysfunction, health, and the importance and drive in maintaining, improving, and returning to health and lifestyles.

Valley performance Health is a small independently run clinic, located in Simsbury, Connecticut born March, 2022. A holistic clinic with a passion for pain relief, improving function, recovery, and getting back to life.

Valley Performance Health specializes in evidence based clinical massage therapy/ manual therapy, recovery massage therapy, movement screening, and corrective exercise.

🔥Hydrocollator packs are used in the clinic to a localized injured area of the body. 140° Hydroculater packs are a tool used in the clinic when applied encourage blood flow to an area and facilitate soft tissue repair. Hydrocollator packs are a great tool along side other treatments used in the clinic for injury recovery.
