April is National Volunteer Month! McLean is so fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers. We’re grateful to them all! Each week this month, we’re spotlighting one of our volunteers. Interested in volunteering at McLean? Call 860-658-3941 or email Ann.Pavano@McLeanCare.org.

Carol volunteers at the welcome desk at our Goodrich building, welcoming visitors, residents, and staff with a smile (and often a home-baked goodie); knowing exactly where she’s needed without being asked; and just generally having a “magic touch” that keeps things running smoothly. Thank you, Carol!

McLean was pleased to host the three-day performance of local playwright Betsy Maguire’s “The Seat Beside Her 3: Stories of the Revolution" as part of the Simsbury 250th Celebration Committee’s calendar of special events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The sold-out performances, narrated by Simsbury’s own historical celebrity Abigail Pettibone, recounted tales of women’s patriotism in securing America’s freedom.
