Easter in Avita was filled with smiles and friendship. From egg coloring, chick “adoption” to a very special visit by the Easter Bunny. Laughter, love, and sweet traditions.

Spring is in full bloom and our Easter celebration was filled with sweetness, color, and meaningful traditions. We gathered around the table to enjoy babka, hot cross buns, angel food cake and fresh strawberries. It all paired perfectly with festive blackberry mint mocktails with candy coated rims. Each treat came with a story and we spent time learning why these foods are traditionally enjoyed at Easter, where those customs come from and the symbolism behind them.
To top it all off, we got creative by painting beautiful tulips and daffodils. Tis the season of renewal and new beginnings.

We loved being part of Alzheimer's Action Day at the State Capitol last month with our sister community, Riverbend at Farmington! It was amazing to hear and share inspiring stories of those with Alzheimer's Disease and their caregivers and learn more about the legislation, support and resources available in Connecticut!

Spring has arrived and Skybrooke is celebrating every sweet moment! Residents have been enjoying creative wreath-making, collage art, sunny walks with friends and a special trip to a local maple syrup farm to taste and learn something new. We also loved our resident-led plant workshop, where we explored what our plants are trying to tell us! And of course, nothing says happiness like a visit from adorable puppies!

We were honored to welcome Christine McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer of Provincetown Art Association and Museum, to Skybrooke for an inspiring and enriching presentation.
Christine shared a fascinating look into the history of art on Cape Cod and throughout New England, along with her own remarkable journey in the arts. With decades of experience in galleries and museums—including roles at institutions like Yale University Art Gallery and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston—her depth of knowledge truly brought the subject to life.
We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from such an accomplished and inspiring leader in the arts.
A special thank you to the Cordova family for making this introduction and helping bring this wonderful experience to our community!

Our team was honored to attend Alzheimer’s Action Day at the Connecticut State Capitol together with our sister community, Riverbend at Farmington.

We joined advocates from across the state to hear from lawmakers and speak up for our residents and the many individuals and families living with Alzheimer's disease in Connecticut. We were especially grateful to be joined by a resident family member who shared their personal story and helped put a face to why this advocacy is so important.

It was a meaningful day of connection, advocacy, and commitment to improving the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s. 💜
