It was busy week!! What an honor to witness and support three strong women bring new life into the world! A beautiful unmedicated hospital birth, then our first homebirth of 2026, and ending the week with another redemptive homebirth. Two sweet girls and one charming boy! Welcome to the Promise family!!

There is no greater privilege for our midwifery team than being invited into a family’s birth story. Throughout 2025, Promise Community Health Center midwives supported 45 incredible births and 19 sweet arrivals at Sioux Center Health alongside our Certified Nurse Midwife, Kari Ney.

Born peacefully at home in Sioux Center, Iowa, little Eila arrived on September 5, 2025, weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and measuring 21.5 inches long. Her proud parents, Josh and Alexa Dykstra, welcomed her into the world surrounded by love and supported by Certified Nurse Midwife, Kari Ney, and the caring Promise home birth team. Congratulations on your precious baby girl, Miss Eila!
