I am so glad that you are here and I hope that I can encourage you in some way! :)
I am not in the best shape of my life, don't look like a fitness model, nor am I perfect in any way but my goal is to daily make baby steps forward to be the take care of this body God blessed me with so I can be the best wife, mom, friend, sister, daughter, aunt, business woman....( you get the point) that I can be! I invite you on this journey with me because I know I am not the only one that isn't perfect, that needs encouragement and accountability, that isn't happy with where they currently are,not sure where "you" went along the way of life, ex-athlete that has struggled with fitness, new mom that doesn't know what happened to her body and time,that has tried and failed and tried and failed different workouts or "diets" ... so that is why I post the the dreaded "post workout selfie" because maybe that inspires 1 person to move forward a baby step at a time. I know I am a sweaty mess and not looking good at all in them.. but it sure holds me accountable... to you! The 2 major components that I have been missing the last few years in my health and fitness is
#1 FUN FUN FUN
I love being active and moving and trying new things etc etc so why was I not taking care of myself? Because they were WORK not PLAYING with my teammates or getting ready for a GAME! or PLAYING some made up game with aunts and uncles and cousins... I was choosing the wrong workouts for ME! I was choosing "the best workout" not what was fun! I can tell you from experience... the best workout in the world won't do a thing for you if you don't do it!
#2 PEOPLE, RELATIONSHIPS, TEAMMATES, FRIENDS,FAMILY
they are part of what make it fun for me!and stuff that isn't in theory fun becomes a blast and relationship building! For example I ran into a friend and teammate from HS and we started talking about doing "the mountain" together...people, that was almost 20 years ago! we bond over attacking things together! Many things motivate people to take care of yourself... I would love to help you figure that out as well as make it FUN and with myself and others like you! I believe that Fitness is FUN and believe that taking care of our bodies inside and out allows us to take better care of all of the other things God entrusted to us! Come on, lets go do this together! :)
