This past weekend, we welcomed some science enthusiasts to our Sasquatch Science Lab. A weekend STEM adventure where campers explored various aspects of science and engineering. They learned about the careers of a scientist and an engineer. Through experiential learning, they simulated these careers with our elephant toothpaste experiment, lemon volcanoes, and creation station.

Who knew science could also involve a fan favorite-- Sweet Science! Campers learned how to make ice cream in a bag and edible sedimentary rock.

Our campers are ready to impact the world as future scientists and engineers! Can't wait to see you all at our next adventure! 🌎👨‍🔬

Today, those same warehouse walls have been meticulously restored by the Sioux City Distilling Co. crew, preserving an iconic piece of our local heritage with an incredible eye for detail.

At Camp High Hopes, our own roots in this community run deep as we enter our 14th year of service. As a transformative impact agency dedicated to life-changing experiences for individuals of all abilities, we are honored to be the organization that helps write the next chapter for this historic location.

🧶 Hands-On Learning & Heartfelt Giving 🌟
Our VENTURE program students (part of the Panther Academy at Dakota Valley Schools) just wrapped up a project that proves the best lessons are learned by doing!

A huge shoutout to Fashion Fabrics Club for donating the beautiful fleece that made this possible. 🙏✨

💡 More Than Just a Blanket
This project was a masterclass in essential life skills. By crafting a tie blanket from scratch, our participants practiced:

✅ The Power of "Done": Experience the satisfaction of following a complex task from the first cut to the final knot.

🙌 Artisanal Pride: Discovering what’s possible when you create something tangible with your own two hands.

🌎Community Connection: Learning that our skills have the most value when used to help others. ❤️
