My husband and I got a wonderful surprise tonight at our daughter’s parent-teacher conference. Sis was asked to do a writing assignment about “The Best Place in Town” and she chose Bluebird Bridge!

This represents so many things I can’t even verbalize… there just aren’t enough words…

Not so many years ago the topics at conferences discussed were attendance, meltdowns, meds and not being able tolerate shoes or wear appropriate clothing for the weather. This year, her teacher was excited to share this with us and Sis even accepted the compliments! She told me how she had contemplated choosing Pizza Ranch Fun Zone but then thought of Bluebird. 🙌

All this from the girl that used to yell in rage when we told her we loved her and couldn’t stand to be touched.

Given the right supports the body heals! Please know this!!! It isn’t easy and it isn’t just physical but also emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic. The path is a rollercoaster at times and sometimes you WILL throw your hands up frustration but DO NOT STOP! Keep going! Healing is not linear but perseverance is 100% worth it! We are getting back to the family we were before the dominoes fell.

Please share this with someone you know that needs to hear a story of hope and healing. I know I clung to stories like ours when I felt like giving up. I have so much gratitude to those who have walked before us and lit the path. And so much love and hope for those who need it right now.
