We had another great meeting of “100+ Men & Women Who Care” Tuesday night, this time at the Betty Strong Encounter Center. Thanks to Tracy Bennett and her great staff for making us feel welcomed and providing WONDERFUL appetizers for our meeting. Thanks also to board members who donated beverages.
It was great to have seven new members join our group…WELCOME!
Before I get to the winning nonprofit for this quarter, I’ll mention it was great to have Rochelle Pfeifer from our previous beneficiary, Siouxland Foster Closet, on hand to receive the ceremonial “big check” in recognition of the $12,150 donation our group made to them. Thanks to KCAU-TV for a nice story about the event.
Now, on to the business from Tuesday night—three very worthy nonprofits were nominated: Sunnybrook Hope Center; Beyond the Bell; and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. And the winner was Sunnybrook Hope Center!
As usual, if you weren’t able to attend and submit your check at our meeting, you may mail your $100 check, made payable to Sunnybrook Hope Center, to:
100+ Men & Women Who Care
P.O. Box 1202
Sioux City, IA 51102
OR, there is an online donation option for Sunnybrook Hope Center, available on their website. When you go to that link, be sure to select THE HOPE CENTER in the drop down menu. If you do the online option, please let me know so I can keep track of our donations.
Now, for your advance planning, our second quarterly meeting of 2025 is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, again at the Betty Strong Encounter Center!
