Because progress doesn’t always look big or flashy. Sometimes it’s…

💧 Making it through the first 10 jumping jacks without leaking.
🚽 Your kiddo finally saying, “I need to go potty!” before it’s too late.
💪 Getting yourself to the gym 2x this week, even when you were tired.

These moments matter. They build momentum, confidence, and lasting change. Hearing the small wins from patients brightens my day! ☀️

Here’s your reminder to pause and give yourself (and your little one) credit — progress is happening. 🙌🏻

I know it feels harmless…you’re in a rush, you want to “get it all out,” or it’s just become a habit. But here’s the thing: pushing your p*e out trains your pelvic floor and bladder to do the wrong job.

When you bear down to urinate, you’re putting unnecessary pressure on your pelvic organs and overworking muscles that are meant to relax, not push. Over time, this can contribute to many pelvic floor dysfunctions.

Instead:
• Sit down fully on the toilet
• Take a few deep breaths
• Let your belly and pelvic floor relax and allow the urine to flow naturally

Your bladder is perfectly capable of doing the work. It doesn’t need the extra push. 😉

Let’s be honest… that first p**p after birth can feel downright terrifying 😅⁣

You’re sore, things feel different, you might have stitches, and the thought of “pushing” again? No thank you.⁣

Here’s how to make it a little easier 👇⁣
✨ Put your feet up on a stool
✨ Use a wad of toilet paper or a pad to gently support your perineum⁣
✨ Breathe out as you start your bowel movement…no straining, just exhale and let your body do the work⁣

You’ve already done the hard part, mama. You’ve got this and I’m here to help you feel confident in every part of your recovery. 💜

Here are the rules of my in-home sessions:
1. Do not clean up your house for me.
2. Allow your children to run around us.
3. Grab snacks for your kids, feed your baby, go put your baby down for a nap, preheat your oven to start supper.
4. Wear whatever is comfortable. Still in your pajamas? Great!

I'll bring everything I need for your session. We will take time to discuss your symptoms, your medical history, and your goals. I will perform a whole-body assessment to gather information. Together, we will come up with a plan to get you to where you want to be. I'll provide instruction for what you'll be working on in a way that works for you and your schedule.

That's it! Sound like your setting to get the care you need in the comfort of your own home, without having to find childcare or going out into the cold? Reach out and get scheduled today!

🤧 It’s that time of year…colds, sniffles, and runny noses everywhere.

But here’s your pelvic PT PSA: don’t blow your nose while you p*e! 🚫💨🚽

Your pelvic floor should be relaxed when you’re emptying your bladder. Your pelvic floor should be contracting when you blow your nose as you increase the pressure in your abdomen.
So grab a tissue AFTER you go, not during. Your pelvic floor will thank you. 😉

Ever notice your back start to ache when you’re holding your baby? 😩⁣

Check your posture 👀 are your hips pushed forward and your back arched? That “lean and hold” posture puts a ton of pressure on your low back and doesn’t let your core do its job.⁣

Try stacking your ribs over your hips (think: pull your hips under your ribs). Instantly, your core can turn on to help support you instead of your low back doing all the work. 🙌🏼⁣

Small shifts = big relief. Your back (and pelvic floor!) will thank you. 💜

🤰 Pregnancy belts — worth it or not?

There are so many options out there, and it can be hard to know which one actually helps. 👀

👉 Swipe to see the pros and cons of a few common pregnancy support belts from gentle belly bands to more structured supports from an Obstetrics specialist PT + birth doula.

Whether you’re looking to ease back pain, support your bump, or just make everyday movement more comfortable, there’s something that can help.

If there’s a quick treatment that fixes all of these things, it’s likely not evening FIXING the problem. 😬

Even if there are 2 women who both have urine leakage with sneezing, their treatment STILL doesn’t look the exact same. 🤯

The reasons you’re experiencing these symptoms requires an in-depth assessment of MORE than your pelvic floor.

And let me tell you this….a bunch of contractions to the pelvic floor is definitely not going to fix the problem, in fact it could actually make it worse. 🫣

A trained pelvic PT, a full in-depth assessment, and a combination of exercises, stretches, coordination, and movement are what will fix your symptoms. 💜
