Some mornings I’m up early, moving my body and feeling great. Other mornings, I hit snooze three times and call it self-care.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I get it. I know what helps my nervous system stay regulated.
I’ve studied this for years. I teach it to patients every single day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I’m also showing up as a mom, a wife, a business owner, and a chiropractor who truly believes that consistency matters more than perfection.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most weeks, I move my body, get my adjustment, and stick to routines that keep me feeling grounded. I choose cleaner products when I can and prioritize sleep (most nights).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And some weeks? I’m running on caffeine, skipping workouts, and letting screen time win because that’s just where I’m at.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is, guilt over less-than-ideal days doesn’t serve my body—it just adds stress.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What actually helps is knowing what my body needs to feel its best, while also giving myself grace for the seasons where I’m just doing my best.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m not chasing perfection. I’m choosing presence and awareness instead.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Can you relate? What’s one thing you’re choosing to give yourself grace for this week? Drop it in the comments ⬇️

Let’s normalize the real, messy middle.
