Medicare reimbursements are failing to keep pace with the costs of care and inflation. This gap is fueling the doctor shortage in South Dakota, especially in rural areas, putting access to care in many of our communities at risk. It's time for Congress to move past temporary fixes and develop a long-term solution to reform the Medicare payment system.
