📣 Progress Report!
We’re halfway through South Dakota Day of Giving and feeling inspired! We would like to share some amazing information about one of our very own:

Josh B. was selected to represent Team South Dakota in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, MN. Josh will be playing Softball and was chosen by his coach due to his outstanding athletic skills and team player attitude. The Games will take place June 20-26, at the University of Minnesota where athletes from all over the country will stay and participate at the state-of-the-art athletic facilities.

💚 Just the Facts — And Why They Matter |
At Southeastern Directions for Life, we meet a child succeeding in school, a parent fighting to stay hopeful, and a family holding on through a difficult chapter.
✔️ Our accredited school through the Education & Integration program gives children with emotional and behavioral needs a place where they feel safe, understood, and supported.
✔️ We provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT), that helps youth and families rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and create safer, healthier homes.
✔️ Our Systems of Care (SOC) Coordinators provide community-based supports in partnership with local and rural schools. This program provides a wraparound approach for care coordination and service delivery specific to children and families with complex needs.

Last year, we served more than 6,000 children, adults, and families in our 4-county area which includes Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner and McCook.

Your generosity ensures someone has supportive services when the world feels overwhelming…
A peer support when they feel alone…
Systems of Care services reaching a family in a rural community…
A path forward when hope seems out of reach.

At Southeastern Directions for Life, we’re proud to be a key partner at The Link Community Triage Center — a collaboration among Avera Health, Sanford Health, the City of Sioux Falls, and Minnehaha County.

Through this partnership, our team provides recovery, mental health, and housing support services, helping people in crisis find stability and hope instead of facing jail or the ER.
Together, we make sure no one has to navigate crisis alone — connecting individuals to care and a path forward.
It’s a powerful example of how community collaboration multiplies impact. 💙
