Not all anxiety is a problem to eliminate.

Sometimes anxiety is your body trying to get your attention.
Sometimes it’s wisdom saying, “Something here doesn’t feel safe.”

The goal of therapy isn’t to silence your body.
It’s to learn how to listen to it with curiosity instead of fear.

Especially the people who benefited from you not having them.

Setting a boundary isn’t rejection.
It’s information about what keeps you emotionally safe.

And yes, sometimes people won’t like it.

But empowerment doesn’t come from keeping everyone comfortable.
It comes from learning you can stay connected to yourself even when others are uncomfortable.

You are not broken.

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s wrong with you.
It’s about understanding what happened to you, how you adapted, and why your nervous system learned the patterns it did.

Your anxiety, your people-pleasing, your shutting down; those didn’t appear out of nowhere. They were responses.

Healing begins when we stop asking
“What’s wrong with me?”
and start asking
“What happened to me?”

That shift alone can change everything.
