Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his reminder that justice, dignity, and compassion are not abstract ideals. They are lived, daily practices.
At The Talking Pointe, we believe mental health care is deeply connected to justice. When people are unheard, unsafe, or denied space to exist fully as themselves, the impact lives in the body, the mind, and the nervous system.
Dr. King spoke of a “beloved community.” Therapy can be one small but powerful part of building that community. A space where truth is welcomed, healing is possible, and people are supported as they reclaim their voice.
Today, we reflect.
Today, we listen.
Today, we recommit to care that is inclusive, affirming, and rooted in humanity.
Healing is not separate from justice.
It is part of it.
