Ok RoOTed clients (and anyone else out there)… we talk a lot about finding the time to take care of our fascia using the fascial self-treatment techniques we discuss in the treatment office.
Here I am, taking care of my own fascial system, while my kids have fun at the Washington Pavillion. Focusing on hamstrings and my hips/glutes/low back with the seated piriformis stretch. Picking a couple of spots I can easily target as I’m multi-tasking being a mom AND a woman who is taking care of myself. I do not always multi-task, and I do set aside time for “just me”, but I also know that there is never a “perfect” time, and even the smallest moments of self-care can go a long way.
It does not have to be hard. Just pick a few spots in your body to focus on each day. These two options are easy to do in many situations, work well, and are highly effective at letting a lot go in your fascial system, when you follow the JFB-MFR principles we discuss in therapy.
You can do this. We can do this. I’m right here with you, living life, and doing my best to take care of myself along the way too. Our kids need us to be ok, for them to be ok too. 💖
