WALKING is your only exercise? To lower your risk of HEART problems and DEATH, the following is what matters the most according to recent research;
- Its not HOW MANY steps you take that is crucial, its whether or not you do it for at least 15 CONTINUOUS minutes.
- Longer walks done at once slash risk of heart problems and death at a much higher rate than intermittent steps. Do one long walk, or several longer walks at least 15 minutes long to achieve the most heart benefit.
- Its STILL beneficial for heart health to walk 8,000 steps a day (10k is the goal!), even if intermittently accumulated, its just that the longer continuous walks multiply those benefits!
