This is Valentines week. ❤️We started the week off with playing Cupid’s Arrow. The object of the game was to get the arrow in the designated square or on the plate. If it landed in the square it was 1 point, if it landed on the plate it was worth the points on the plate. We had 2 teams; Roses and Cacti! (They chose the names; I didn’t!). Guess they felt pokey today! lol. In the end, the Cacti held bragging rights. They won 3 games to 1.

February craft day brought a lot of fun and some beautiful valentines!! It is fun to see their creativity come out in their work.

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful residents of StoneyBrook Suites Assisted Living - Sioux Falls for helping stuff peppers for our pups and letting Dozer visit!

These will provide enrichment and keep our dogs happy while they wait for their new loving homes. 💙

Today we had the privilege to share Lavern Larson’s 100th birthday with him. Did you know, the year he was born, eggs were $.55? A new car was $880.00. A gallon of gas was $.25. Times have changed a bit! From all of us here at Stoneybrook, Happy Birthday, Lavern!!

Christmas is over! Time to take down the beautiful decorations. That is always a sad time! So what do we do? Go deer hunting! We moved the trees to the dining room and let the residents shoot the SB “deer” with nerf guns! Thank you to our employees and employee spouse! They really enjoyed it!!

We are so blessed this holiday season with so many wonderful volunteers. It has been a busy week of activities and so thankful for those who take time to bless others!
Thank you Mara Walters and family for another year of taking time on Christmas Day to share with our residents!
Thank you Ben Reifel 7th graders for the beautiful Christmas placemats! They are so beautiful and appreciated at all our holiday festivities!

Something new we’ve been doing is helping out the Humane Society by stuffing peppers for enrichment treats for their dogs! 🐶 our residents are getting pretty fast at making them and look forward to it each time!

It has been so busy at Stoney. We had some wonderful visitors from Harvest Church come in on Sunday and spend time with our residents. They went above and beyond. Thank you so much for thinking of us!!
