We get 300+ sunny days a year… and no, we’re not humble about it.

What we are proud of is how easy it is to enjoy the outdoors here. No extreme hiking. No proving anything. Just show up and soak it in.

We just shared our seven favorite nature spots around The Lodge all gentle, all gorgeous, and all ridiculously close. From flat creekside walks and eagle watching to lake days, meadow sunsets, and rocking-chair views.

If you think loving the outdoors should feel accessible, peaceful, and a little magical… this one’s for you.

There’s nothing like some fried chicken, greens, and cornbread to soothe the soul. Grateful for good food and great company as we came together to celebrate MLK Day. Honored to reflect on his legacy.

heartfelt thank you from The Lodge Retirement Community
A special thanks to the Sisters Camp Sherman Fire District for visiting and sharing their invaluable wisdom with us. They spoke about fire safety, winter safety, and crucial steps to take if you spot a stroke—information our residents soaked up and will carry with them for years to come.
We’re also deeply grateful to our own Fire Chief Tony Prior for his leadership, and to Marti Stuker R.N and Katie Yates for taking the time to teach safety with patience and care. Your dedication to keeping our community safe is truly appreciated.
Thank you for helping us feel safer, more prepared, and more connected.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Michael Cooper for coming out to The Lodge Retirement Community. He shared his new book, “Miss Calculated Risks,” and conducted a book signing. This was a wonderful opportunity for our residents and the Sisters community to be a part of this fascinating book and the experiences he shared with us. Thank you, Michael, for your generosity and for enriching our community with your insights. We look forward to more inspiring visits in the future!

Playing games with friends makes life just that much better. There’s nothing like the laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments we share together. Grateful for good friends at The Lodge!

“‘I love living here.”

That’s what residents at The Lodge in Sisters, OR tell us every day. Independent living here means friends down the hall, mountain views, and no more home maintenance.

Last month the power went out for 45 minutes.

Eight minutes later, there were headlamps, blankets, marshmallows, something amber, and an off-key rendition of Sweet Caroline on the front porch.
By the time the lights came back on, three dinner parties and a poker tournament were on the calendar.

That’s community. Not scheduled. Not forced. Just… inevitable.

We shared a story about what connection really looks like at The Lodge and why loneliness doesn’t stand a chance here.

If you’ve ever worried about starting over or wondered if community like this still exists… it does.
