Redington-Fairview General Hospital is pleased to announce that Tiffany Comis, MBA, MSN, RN, has been named our new Chief Executive Officer. Tiffany’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter in RFGH’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional, community-centered health care throughout Somerset County.
With more than two decades of service to RFGH, Tiffany’s professional journey reflects dedication, deep institutional knowledge, and a steadfast focus on patient-centered care. She began her career here as a staff nurse and went on to serve in numerous leadership roles, including Emergency Department Nurse Manager, Director of Ambulatory Services, Chief Nursing Officer, and, most recently, Chief Operating Officer.
Tiffany holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s College, blending clinical expertise with strong operational and strategic leadership. Beyond RFGH, she has contributed significantly to the broader health care community through service on several professional boards, including the Maine Hospital Association Board of Directors, the Organization of Maine Nurse Leaders Executive Board, and the KVCC Board of Trustees.
As she steps into the role of CEO, Tiffany brings a rare and powerful combination of clinical experience, administrative acumen, and a deep commitment to the community we serve. Her vision aligns closely with RFGH’s mission to provide quality, safe, comprehensive, and cost-effective health services while preserving our identity as a community-centered hospital. We look forward to the leadership, continuity, and innovation she will bring in the years ahead.
This leadership transition also marks the conclusion of an extraordinary era under the guidance of Richard “Dick” D. Willett. Dick has dedicated more than 50 years to RFGH, including over three decades as CEO since October 1991, helping shape the hospital into the cornerstone institution it is today.
Dick first joined RFGH in September 1972 as Director of Pharmacy. A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Pharmacy, he later earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, bringing both clinical insight and strategic vision to every role he held.
Throughout his tenure, Dick was a tireless advocate for rural and community health care. His service included leadership roles with the Maine Hospital Association Board of Directors, the Public Policy Council, Maine Hospital Solutions, and the Rural Hospital Task Force. He also contributed to statewide health care governance and local economic development through the Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine Advisory Council and the Somerset Economic Development Corporation.
Under Dick’s leadership, RFGH expanded and modernized its facilities and services while strengthening its commitment to personalized, community-focused care. On behalf of the entire RFGH community, we extend our deepest gratitude to Dick for his dedication, compassion, and leadership. His legacy will continue to guide and inspire us well into the future.
Please join us in congratulating Tiffany and in thanking Dick for his remarkable service to Redington-Fairview and our community.
