🎄✨ A Christmas to remember!

Our STARC of Louisiana family came together to celebrate the season at our East and West campus Christmas parties, and the joy was contagious! From laughter and smiles to a very special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, it was a beautiful reminder of the love, community, and togetherness that make this time of year so special.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these celebrations unforgettable. We’re so grateful to share moments like these with our incredible STARC family.

🎄What an incredible morning at STARC of Louisiana!

Today we gathered for our Annual Christmas Board Meeting and Gift Exchange, and it was truly a special time of connection and celebration. We were honored to recognize Mark Baham, our Executive Director, for an amazing 25 years of dedicated service to STARC of Louisiana. Mark’s leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact on the lives of so many, and we are deeply grateful for all he does.

We were also thrilled to have Shawn and Shannon Torres along with Jimmy and Katie Burns from In-Telecom, who presented the Community Wins Golf Tournament check. Thanks to their generosity and support, the tournament raised over $70,000 to fund our new respite center! ⛳💙

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission and help make moments like these possible. Together, we are making a difference every day.

STARC is overjoyed and so grateful to be chosen as a beneficiary of the 10th Annual Dufrene Fishing Rodeo. During the check presentation, our Development Coordinator, Karen Carroll, was stunned and thrilled to learn the donation was a life-changing amount of $20,000! This incredible gift was made possible by the hard work and kindness of Jacob Dufrene, Katelyn Montalbano, Joe Cochran, and so many others.

The funds will go toward our new Respite Home in Slidell, LA, a safe and loving place for participants while their families take a break. This is truly a blessing, and we are so thankful for Dufrene and their HUGE impact.

If you need building supplies, check out Dufrene Building Materials at their Hwy 190 West location in Slidell, LA. They also have stores in Belle Chasse, Arabi, Thibodaux, Luling, Hammond, Grand Isle, Cut Off, and Gulfport, MS. Dufrene has been helping communities build for decades while giving back in amazing ways.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Norman Hardy and his late wife, June, whose generosity has made our Thanksgiving banquet possible for 45 years. Their legacy continues to bring joy and connection to participants in our Adult Day Programs in Slidell and Mandeville.

We’re grateful for everyone who joined us—participants, families, staff, volunteers, board members, and supporters. Your presence made this year’s celebration truly special.
