Pinnacle players in the community! We have enjoyed you all coming out and playing pinnacle with our elders! We would like to set a time and place so everyone is on the same page and can enjoy the game even more. We will be hosting pinnacle at 1:30 on Wednesdays in the Hubbard home! The more the merrier!!! Sunporch of Smith County was recently honored with the PEAK Continuous Improvement Culture Award at the Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas Nursing Homes (PEAK) Conference held in Manhattan.

The PEAK program recognizes and supports long-term care communities that embrace person-centered practices and a culture of continuous improvement. This award celebrates organizations that demonstrate a deeply rooted commitment to growth, learning, and adaptability—values that are evident in every aspect of Sunporch’s operations.

The Continuous Improvement Culture Award was presented to Sunporch of Smith County in recognition of its exceptional dedication to building a values-driven, resident-centered, and empowering workplace culture.

Sunporch exemplifies this standard through strong leadership, engaged staff, and an unwavering focus on person-directed care. Leadership models resilience and a forward-thinking mindset, inspiring both personal and professional growth among team members. Staff at all levels are encouraged to take initiative, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead meaningful change that enhances the lives of residents.
