Yesterday, we started our day with some trivia before gathering for Bible study with the American Lutheran Church. The residents always enjoy these services. At lunch, we enjoyed delicious birthday cupcakes provided by Jaclyn's family, celebrating a special lady. We appreciate them for providing those delicious cupcakes. Yesterday afternoon, we got together for some competitive Bingo! Some take their bingo very seriously! This morning, we started our day hanging out with Lori and doing our December border for our board. Thank you, Lori; we always enjoy your visits. The rest of the day was spent decorating for Christmas, listening to Christmas music, and watching Christmas movies. We will share more Christmas pictures when we are done decorating. We look forward to seeing you for Coffee and Rolls on Friday.

We hope you had a fantastic weekend and are keeping warm. We had a busy Friday and a packed house for coffee and rolls. Always love seeing everyone come in each week. We appreciate Lori for continuing to come in each week and volunteering her time. Today, we started off by painting some leaves for a Christmas leaf wind chime. The residents really enjoyed that. We hung them proudly in residents rooms. We gathered for some exercises and stretches before lunch. After lunch, we got together for our favorite, Bingo! We always have so much fun and love it when they yell bingo!

Yesterday, we started our day with some Thanksgiving coloring and a special visit from our DON's little one. The residents enjoyed his entertainment and had lots of laughs. Afterwards, we joined Pastor David for some Bible study and songs. Thank you, David, so much for providing those services. We got together after lunch for some fun games of bingo. I love the bingo spirits! This morning, Lori and her darling granddaughters joined us, and we helped the residents write Christmas cards to their loved ones and friends. They really enjoyed that! Thank you, Lori and your sweet granddaughters, for coming up and helping; it's always appreciated. We had exercises before lunch and some reminiscing about big events that had happened in our lifetimes. Today, Cathi Holt brought Thanksgiving cupcakes from her and the VFW ladies for Thanksgiving. Thank you, sweet ladies, so much for always thinking of our residents.

Hello and happy Monday. I have been remiss in capturing our special moments on camera. Here are some photographs from Friday’s coffee and rolls. It was delightful to see some of the farmers able to take a break from their field work due to the rain. We commenced our Monday with room visits, followed by exercises before lunch. This afternoon, we engaged in a game of bingo and also had our nails done; several ladies are not featured in the photographs. Thank you, Darcy, for taking the time to provide nail painting services and bringing joy to the ladies. ❤️ We hope you had a wonderful weekend.

We have had a busy week engaging in bingo activities, participating in Thanksgiving crafts with Lori, and participating in Bible study. Of course, our exercise regimen was also maintained. Today, the VFW ladies graciously hosted bingo for our residents, and Cathi prepared a delicious butternut squash cake. We always appreciate the contributions of our volunteers. Tomorrow, we will be hosting coffee and long johns, and we look forward to seeing you all.

What a truly uplifting, fun Monday we have had! We began our day with a heartwarming visit from the FFA crew and four adorable little corgi puppies. The residents were absolutely beaming with joy! Thank you to Monica and the FFA crew for sharing those precious puppies with our residents and staff. Before lunch, we fit in some invigorating exercises and stretches, which is always a great way to boost our energy! During lunch, we also celebrated Nolin's 100th birthday in style; we are grateful to his incredible family for all the delightful birthday treats they brought in for all the residents and staff - such kindness is truly inspiring. After lunch, we gathered together for some thrilling bingo, always a highlight. We hope your day was as amazing as ours, but it may be hard to top!

We would like help from everyone wishing this young man a very, very happy 100th birthday! Puppy snuggles and cake; no better way to spend a birthday. Nolan is still very independent and does most things on his own, and we are lucky to be a part of his life. 🎂🥳

We hope you are all out enjoying this gorgeous weather. Yesterday morning, we hosted coffee and muffins, and they were a hit. We offered a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed them. It's definitely one of our highlights each week. We give family and friends the opportunity to come and relax with the residents, enjoy refreshments, and food. We also got in some kitty snuggles, courtesy of one of our CNAs. Before lunch, we challenged ourselves with a good word game to see how many words we could come up with under certain categories. After lunch, they took a break and did some self-directed activities. We hope you enjoy your weekend.
