Why do we send flowers to funerals? The use of flowers is actually one of the oldest burial customs there is, with archeological evidence of flowers being used at burial sites dating back to 62,000 BC!

The modern use of flowers had a much more practical responsibility - to mask smell. Fortunately, that is something that we do not have to combat anymore, and while the frequency of sending of flowers has lowered, it is a tradition still upheld by most families.

This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re thinking green — not just in spirit, but in how we care for our community and our planet. 🍀
Try one of these small, meaningful steps:
• Bring reusable bags when you shop
• Plant something new (even a windowsill herb counts!)
• Pick up litter during your walk
• Donate gently used items instead of tossing them
• Choose eco-friendly cleaning products
Tiny changes add up in a big way. đź’š
