CaraStrong Our daughter Cara is fighting a hard battle right now with Osteosarcoma. She beat it last year but it has returned in her lungs and seems more aggressive.

In 2019 she was diagnosed and went through 9 months of chemo and a knee and femur replacement.

Hi everyone. This is Annslie, she is a 12 year old girl from our area that has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, the same cancer our Cara had.
It hurts my heart knowing that another young innocent life is having to fight this horrible cancer.
Please pray for this family. They have a long difficult road ahead of them and please if you feel led to, here is a link to donate to help. 🎗️

It’s been a year today, since you went home to be with our lord. How has it been a year but it feels like yesterday. We miss you now more than ever. Your sweet smile, your laughs and giggles. You cute waddle when you walked. Your temper and your love. The way you left an impression on everyone that you met. You loved people, animals, music, and art. We watched you as an 11 year and child full of innocence and curiosity take the news of your knee tumor and look to us for reassurance that you were going to be ok, we held your hand as you fought and cried and got sick but you kept smiling and pushing. We saw the joy as you were told that you were cancer free and got to live free again as a child should. We held you as we learned that the sickness came back in your lungs but we were still hopeful that we could beat it again. You kept fighting as we held you and we all believed that we could beat this. You kept smiling. And as we learned that we couldn’t beat it and held each other tighter than ever. Even when you started getting weaker, You still smiled. Even as the time came for you to leave us you still smiled. We love you so much. We still don’t know how to do this without you and even though we should rejoice that your with our lord and family in a place that is a million times better than this world, it still feels so unfair that you couldn’t be here to grow and experience things other kids get to. You will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed.

We love you Cara!

We will be with you in heaven someday. Until we meet again sweetheart đź’ś

Once Cara passed it took a while for us to even go to the cemetery. Then when we decided it was time, we started working on how we wanted her headstone to look.
Valley Monument in Lanett did a great Job in making our vision a reality on her headstone. It got placed last Friday and we went to see it and put out some flowers for the first time today. We miss our baby much.
