Happy Veterans Day to those who have served.

Veterans account for a disproportionate number of su***des in the U.S. In recent years, veterans represented about 13% of all adult deaths by su***de, despite making up about 8% of the U.S. adult population.

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) 2020 National Veteran Su***de Prevention Annual Report, there were approximately 6,146 veteran su***des in 2018, which reflects an average of about 17.6 veteran su***des per day.
