✨ Indigenous Peoples’ Day ✨
Today we honor the strength, resilience, and sacred traditions of Indigenous peoples — the original keepers of birth, ceremony, and community. 🌿
Birth work has always been deeply rooted in Indigenous wisdom — from traditional midwifery and herbal medicine to the belief that birth is not a medical event, but a sacred, community-centered transition.
As a doula, I’m continually inspired by these ancestral teachings: to hold space with reverence, to honor each birthing person’s story, and to remember that birth is ceremony.
May we keep learning, unlearning, and reconnecting to the roots of this sacred work. 🤎
