Team Lefty or Team Righty? With toddlers, it is often a mystery! ✋❓

Most children actually don’t develop a dominant hand until they are between 2 and 4 years old. Before then, it is completely normal for them to be "ambidextrous," using both hands equally to grab toys, eat snacks, or scribble masterpieces. 🖍️

If you notice your little one switching hands constantly, don't worry, their brain is still deciding! Enjoy the guessing game while it lasts.

If you have questions about your child's development, we are here to help. Call us to schedule a check-up! 💜💚

Did you know your baby doesn't have hard kneecaps yet? 😮

It’s true! Babies are born with patellas made of soft cartilage. They don't harden into actual bone until age 3 to 5.

Why? It’s nature’s built-in "shock absorber" to protect their little knees during all that crawling and stumbling!

Is your little one on the move? We love tracking these big developmental milestones to make sure your child is growing strong and hitting their stride. Call our Smyrna office at 615-223-5565 or our Nolensville office at 615-776-8703 to schedule their next wellness check. 💜💚

⚠️ URGENT RECALL ALERT ⚠️

We are sharing an important safety update regarding a voluntary recall of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula due to the potential risk of contamination with bacteria that can cause infant botulism.

The Details: According to the CDC, this recall affects ALL batches of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula.

What you need to do:

Did you know your newborn might already be speaking your language? 🗣️💜

Studies suggest that babies begin picking up the rhythm and melody of their mother's voice while still in the womb. By the time they make their grand entrance, their cries actually mimic that specific "accent!"

It’s their very first step in learning how to communicate with you. How amazing is that?

We love sharing these amazing insights about your growing family! For expert care for your baby here in Smyrna and Nolensville, give us a call 💜💚

🦴 Fun Fact Friday! 🦴

Here’s a fact that might surprise you: Bones are living tissues!

They aren't just hard, dry sticks. They are active, growing, and constantly rebuilding themselves. This "living" quality is exactly why they have the amazing power to heal and mend after a break. ⚡️

In kids, this repair process is in overdrive, helping them grow strong and healthy!

Happy Halloween and Fun Fact Friday, Nurture Pediatrics families! 🎃

As your little ones get ready to enjoy their treats, here's a helpful fact from the Nurture team!

Did you know dark chocolate (with 70% cocoa or more) is often considered a healthier candy choice? 🍫 It's packed with antioxidants and compounds that can be good for heart health, making it a smarter way to satisfy that sweet tooth.

A small piece can be a great way to enjoy a Halloween treat!

We wish everyone in our Smyrna and Nolensville communities a safe, fun, and healthy Halloween! 💜💚
