Women make up 20% of new HIV diagnoses and 1/4 of the people living with HIV in the United States, according to AIDSVu. With the rights tools and resources, we can work together to reduce HIV. Here’s some ways you can make a difference:
👩‍👧 Have open conversations with friends and family early on
💌 Use condoms
💉 Avoid sharing needles
📄 Get tested regularly
💊 Consider PrEP, a medication that can help prevent getting HIV
🫂If you test positive for HIV, ask your provider about antiretroviral therapy (ART) to help protect your immune system and continue to live a healthy and fruitful life.

Together, we can create healthy lives and end the HIV epidemic affecting the women and girls in our communities.
