๐ŸŒŸ Welcome DPS NC Representative Meghana Desai! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are excited to welcome Meghana Desai as the Delaware Pharmacy Societyโ€™s National Council Representative for 2025โ€“26. ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’™

Meghanaโ€™s pharmacy journey began in retail, where she discovered the value of connecting with patients in their daily care. In 2018, she transitioned into managed care, where she now combines her clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach to optimize therapies, manage formularies, and improve healthcare outcomes. She thrives on collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, driving quality improvement initiatives, and using data-driven strategies to ensure patient safety, satisfaction, and cost-effective care.

Beyond her professional achievements, Meghanaโ€™s story is inspiring. Born in India and raised in North Bergen, NJ, she graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 2000. Today, she lives in Newark, Delaware with her husband and two childrenโ€”her son, a freshman at the University of Maryland, and her daughter, a high school sophomore. As a family, they love to travel, and Meghana is also an avid reader (most recently enjoying Culpability by Bruce Holsinger).

Looking ahead, Meghana is eager to bring pharmacy into a new light, engage new members, and help shape the future of the profession. We are thrilled to have her representing Delaware on the national stage!
