EDIT: This event has been rescheduled for October 19!

Join us at The Mission - Sneedville as we run for Guatemala!

One of the ways The Mission is partnering with Clubhouse Guatemala this year is by participating in the Guat-A-Run 5K fundraising campaign. Each participant who runs will provide 200 meals for Guatemalans in need! The cost per participant registration is $35, which will also include a t-shirt and a medal (made from wood and hand-painted by kids in Guatemala). All funds will go directly to Clubhouse to impact lives in Guatemala.

PLEASE NOTE:
EVERY participant must submit their registration info AND pay a registration fee of $35 to be officially registered for the event. If both of these are not completed, you will not receive your t-shirt and medal.

Over the weekend, an open house event was hosted at the Pratt House - the first residential space available for participants in The Timothy Project. The purpose of the home is to provide a place that fosters a deeper level of discipleship and brotherhood that can only be accomplished in community.

The men who will fill this home will be those who have not only chosen to participate in the program, but who are looking to commit further by separating themselves from the expectations of the world for a season, in order to focus on first hearing, and then fulfilling, the unique calling that God has placed on their life.

As this project moves forward, there will continue to be a need for partnership in prayer, as well as financial support. If you would like to learn more about this ministry, visit the website at https://www.missionsneedville.com/the-timothy-project

If you would like to partner financially with The Mission - Sneedville, please go to https://www.missionsneedville.com/give or contact us to set up pledges or recurring gifts.

Leadership from The Mission - Sneedville had the honor of taking part in this meeting last week, which was one of the first steps in a joint effort between The Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and the Tennessee Department of Human Services, encouraging and empowering the faith community across the state to more effectively collaborate with the government to serve vulnerable Tennesseans. We are looking forward to seeing how this relationship continues to grow and impact the state!

Over the past few weeks, several people have asked how they could help support the new men's home, so we've put together an Amazon Gift List to include some specific items that are needed. While we are in no way "above" taking donations of used items, we'd like for everything in this house to be new (or as close as possible) for the guys to be able to feel like it's truly a fresh start when they move in.

We want to set high expectations up front and give them an opportunity to live differently than they have in the past. This doesn't call for extravagance or frivolity, but quality is important, so we've created this list with that in mind.

Please consider making purchases directly from this Amazon list, which will ship the items to The Mission - Sneedville when the order is placed:
https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/26ZA3XMA0G3C2

There are still several things left to do as finishing touches on the house as well, so we appreciate all monetary donations that can be used to recuperate the amount spent on renovations and to ensure the ability to continue to operate and grow the ministry from this point. Donations may be made here:

What can you expect on a Thursday night at The Mission - Sneedville?

While these meetings originally began as a recovery support group, they have grown into so much more... the atmosphere is more like that of a family, gathering for weekly fellowship and to be fed, both physically and spiritually. Support and encouragement go far beyond just those battling addiction, reaching out to anyone with any type of hurt or looking to add accountability into their walk.

A free meal is served at 6:00 pm, open to anyone who walks through the door. The meeting starts at 7:00, opening with 2 to 3 worship songs, followed by the speaker... sometimes this is a testimony, other times it's a sermon, but most times, it's somewhere in between!

These meetings are open to everyone because nobody is perfect - we ALL struggle with something... but there is NOTHING greater than grace!

Our Story

The Mission strives to support the community through various outreach projects, with an intense focus on helping those who are battling addictions and the loved ones surrounding them, as well as young ladies that find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy. We meet weekly to support and encourage anyone who is struggling. Whether you are facing recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction, unplanned pregnancy, divorce, death of a loved one, or just life’s daily struggles, we encourage you to join us as we fellowship, worship, and study God’s Word. We also welcome family members of those going through recovery, as well as anyone who would like to be involved with the ministry and outreach activities.
