Happy Anniversary- "The Matrix'- A Look Inside Domestic Violence".

As we approach Domestic Violence Awareness Month ( October) , this is a reminder; that writing this book to shed light on intimate partner violence was important, needed and still relevant.

Thank you to those who have supported the work and cause to end the violence, even if your support is just knowing how to be a safe bystander. All support is important but knowing how to best assist is key. There are keys to knowing inside The Matrix.

When you walk into spaces that illuminate the place and cause others to question what it is about you, that makes people in the room take notice. Be mindful of those who questioned. If they have not been on a healing journey that allows them security within themselves, they may throw shade but sis, be alert enough to catch it, and healed enough to go about your business. Their problem with you is not your problem.

Boundaries are an important. They are important for your peace, mental safety& stability and much more. Don't allow people to make you feel guilty about the boundaries that you set for your wellbeing. If they start to hate you when you set boundaries, then what you had with them ,was not about you, it's about them.
